Tracking Online Campaigns
The easiest way to track on online campaign is to use the URL Builder to create a URL that contains all the information about the specific campaign within the URL's parameters. Once a URL is generated, if additional parameters are required by your website, they may be appended to the end. Use this URL as the destination URL for any links to your site to track the campaign.
As long as the appropriate campaign variables are specified in the URL, Urchin will automatically detect and report on the marketing campaigns.

Tracking Offline Campaigns
Offline campaigns (magazines, tv, etc.) may be tracked in a similar matter. Create an easy-to-remember URL that users will have no problems typing in: www.mysite.com/tv, for example. Then, just set up a 301 redirect to the URL containing the campaign variables.
The redirect must be a 301 redirect to ensure all data is tracked correctly.
